So I proudly join the TToT-community again. Let’s see what I can contribute this week:
- On Monday I started working on my new project in OT after a lot of planning. Sawing the bottom of the tray was a lot of fun, and I like the result. I am more patient than I was last year, and I enjoy every little step.
- On Tuesday, I continued painting in group OT. It made me feel very focused, and I liked that.
- Later on Tuesday, my parents texted me that they safely arrived back home from their holiday, and that they had a good time. I am thankful for that.
- On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday our friend came to us after work and helped us building our terrace. I am so thankful for his ongoing support.
- On Wednesday, a container was set up, and I started filling it with everything that we had scraped from the terrace. It was a lot of work, but I did it, and this was a good feeling. I can’t carry heavy things, so I filled a little bucket and emptied it into the container a thousand times, but I pulled through. I am proud of myself, and this is a rare feeling.
- On Thursday, we were just two clients in our relaxation group, so we could choose how we wanted to do it. This was nice.
- On Saturday it was raining, so we didn’t work on the terrace. I went to our friend and helped her tidying up her garden after the rain stopped. I like helping her, and we had a great time.
- The grave of our friend’s dog (the Rotti-granny) looks very good. The hard work paid off. We saw a bumblebee, and I said to my friend: “You always called your dog bumblebee, this must be a sign!” It made us smile.
- On Sunday, I felt very tired. I was very thankful my husband took the dogs for a walk, so I could rest.
- Talked to my parents on the phone Sunday, and they are well rested and in good spirits after their holiday. I always like talking to them and I am grateful they are in my life.
I’m glad your folks had a lovely holiday & are back safe and sound and recuperated. It sounds like you’ve had a busy, but positive, week! I hope this one is good for you too lovely xx

Last week was anything but boring, that’s for sure 🙂 We hope we will have at least a few nice days on the terrace before summer is over 😉

So much positive in your week! I have to say I could relate to your putting a thousand buckets-full of stuff into the bigger container. I did that a few weeks ago, only I shoveled (that sounds more impressive than it was – small amounts on the shovel) of dirt from the patio at the lake house and carried them to the bank and tossed them over. It literally felt like a thousand trips! Have a great week!

It’s the result that counts, after all. We can be proud we solved the problem 🙂 Yay for perseverance!

I too identify with the thousand buckets task! (For me) it was not so much not having a large enough container as it was what needed to be moved is seemingly endless. I have a wheelbarrow and I’m cleaning out an area of the woods that used to be a brush pile. I’m now down to the layers that are simply wood chips. I rake them into piles and put them in the wheelbarrow and move them to a distant part of the wood. Kinda slow, but peaceful exercise.
Have a good week.

What I like about those tasks: You see the results of your work immediately (e.g. the full wheelbarrow). That’s good about it.

What a positive list! It’s always a relief knowing when loved ones have returned from their journeys away. Glad you parents had a good holiday. Your terrace project sounds awesome. I hope you finish in time to enjoy it before the end of summer.
I’m with you. The bumblebee was a sign 🙂

The bumblebee was quite obvious, wasn’t it 😀. We hope we can celebrate my father’s birthday oon the new terrace, that would be the last week of August. But things are looking good!

Being able to recognize the ways that you have improved is a good feeling to have.
Yeah for the ongoing support of friends!
What a beautiful moment when the bumblebee appeared. What a special sign.

It’s always good to see my hard work on myself pays off.
Yes, this bumblebee-moment was magic. It made our friend smile, and this was good.

It was a very satisfying feeling to finish this big task without having to ask for help. Good luck with painting the steps!
