… to blog more often. It’s not that I have no ideas. I started several entries, but they were not good enough in my opinion. Someday I will hopefully edit, like and publish them.
Right now I am struggling to keep up with my daily chores and I am relieved when they are done. I am glad I still get some things done – it could be so much worse. I hope “so much worse” will not happen.
These slumps are probably normal, but it’s never easy for me to just accept them and go on. I very easily start to panic, because I know how bad things can get.
So I try to stay calm and avoid collateral damage. Lows aren’t pretty, but my mind knows they will be followed by better times. Now I just need to convince myself and feel like it.
Yep, slumps are pretty routine, we all have them. I know you’ll climb over the slump hill.

Thanks! I just have to keep on trying, I guess.

C.S. Lewis, in The Screwtape Letters, talked about The Law of Undulation, how we humans go through highs and lows regularly. Yes, the better times will come, never give up.

Aha, so ups and downs just happen. That’s a very comforting thought and helps a lot. Thanks!

You have it right, Bad times don’t last and if we just hang in there and do the best we can, we will be able to right ourselves again. As long as you don’t stop altogether or you are making progress. I understand the fear, because I have been there, but don’t be too hard on yourself if everything doesn’t get done. If you have some things accomplished each day you are doing OK. Take more walks, they are good for you! 💕

It’s so important not to stop moving, but it’s hard sometimes. Thank you for your kind words!

I always have 100 ideas in my mind of things to write, and then when I sit down to do it they don’t come out nearly as good as I want. But sometimes we are our own worst critics. Stories I shared that I thought were really poor turned out to be the ones many people like the best. Don’t be afraid to share something now and then! 😊

Exactly, I am my worst critic. Thanks for encouraging me to keep on blogging.

I have a heap of drafts, probably a hundred, that I’ve never finished, others that I didn’t think were good enough then didn’t get around to ‘fixing’, I don’t have the energy or heart to look at any of them. I do think though that we can be our own worst enemy and harshest critic when it comes to things we’ve done or written, so I do hope you post some of the things you’ve already done as I’m sure we’ll love reading it all. I do hope things brighten up for you a little as you ride out the current slump. Sending hugs, Viola xxxx

Thanks, hugs always help.
It’s good to know I am not the only one having lots of unposted drafts. I hope many of your drafts will be posted as well. Here’s to being nicer to ourselves! XXX

I think you’re on the right way, Viola, keep on writing, even if you don’t post it, but what you write can be valuable for everyone who reads it so don’t give up girl 😉 Oh, and that picture is pawsome! Extra Pawkisses🐾😽💞

I hope my writing reassures other people they are not alone. So I will try to keep going.
I like taking pictures and editing them on my mobile, it’s fun!
