So I proudly join the TToT-community again. Let’s see what I can contribute:
- I was in a lot of pain last week, maybe because of the cold weather. But I got through it somehow, and the important things got done.
- Monday my OT therapist was joined by a trainee, a young man. It was very interesting what he had to say. I agreed to have my next single OT appointment with him, because my therapist has a day off on Monday.
- Tuesday I felt very tired and everything felt heavy. But the dogs took good care of me. They always make me smile.
- Because Tuesday was so hard, I was very glad to have a quiet Wednesday. It was what I needed.
- Thursday I had my monthly appointment with my podiatrist. She really cares about her patients, and the staff always tries to make everybody feel well.
- Got a problem sorted out with my health insurance company. The question was if they continue to pay for my TENS unit, or if I have to get a new one. Turns out I can keep my current one. It took me a few days to get through to the right person, and I feel much better now.
- Had my quaterly blood test done on Friday morning as well. I struggle with self care sometimes, so it’s a good thing this is done. I will get the results this week.
- Had an appointment with my therapist on Friday. It was our second to last therapy session. We started in 2015, and we got a lot out of the way. I now feel ready to fly solo again, and this is good. We will keep in touch though and meet every three months.
- Picked up a prescription from my pain doctor. I am grateful this went quick and didn’t take a lot of time.
- Because the week was very tiring I was extremely relieved when I was finished with my chores on Friday. I pulled through, and that’s all what counts in the end.
Awesome! Have a great week this week too! xox

I am deaf on one ear and have a hearing aid on the other, so telephone calls are difficult for me. But the result is all what counts in the end.

Just as you said, the important thing is that you pulled through the week. Life is often about finding our way through it. I am delighted that you feel ready to fly on your own and see your therapist only occasionally. You have worked hard and have come so far! I am cheering for you! 😊🎉

Thanks! Good therapy should make you feel ready to cope with most things on your own again.

Sudden changes in the weather seem to play havoc with our bodies somethings. Glad you were able to get through the week in spite of it.
It is good that you have dogs to take care of you. They really do seem to understand when things are not quite right with their person.
Trying to reach the “right person” in an office can be a struggle, especially if the background music isn’t your favorite kind of music, or worse yet, after waiting forever, all of a sudden you get cut off and then have to start all over again explaining to someone different.
Your feeling you are ready to “fly solo” again is wonderful. So happy for you.

Our dogs are very important for me when my husband is at work.
And I think my therapy was a success, because the end doesn’t bother me. Yay!

Thanks! Living with pain can be difficult. At least the weather is cooperating now, so I hope for a nice easter weekend.

Agree with all of the above (especially the grat from engaging and succeeding with a multi tentacle beast like an insurance company)
Of course, for me, Number 3 totally comes to the fore as dogs do what they do like no other lifeforms.
Have a warmer week.

Seems dealing with health insurance companies is annoying everywhere in the world.
And yes, the weather forecast for easter is sunny and warm. so I am looking forward to it!

Sadly, I had to be persistent, but I got what I needed in the end. Jackie is not always in the mood for purrtherapy 🙂
Have a wonderful week!

I’m glad you got through with the pain and your appointments, I hope things are a little easier for you this week. And that’s great news about finally getting things with your health insurance sorted so you can keep the TENS unit, saves some hassle and extra stress. Fab news about your therapy and you feeling you’re ready to go solo again; so it’s just one last session you have left..? Fingers crossed for the blood test results this week too, Viola xx

Exactly, one more therapy session in May, then I can test what I learned. But I am very sure my safety net can handle that.
I hope you have a good week as well, Caz xx
