Feline Friday #41 | Friendly Fill-Ins Week 151

Feline Friday #41 | Friendly Fill-Ins Week 151

I don’t need a weather forcast these days. It’s very simple: If Jackie lies in bed next to me or on my chest, the weather is bad. If the weather is good, her garden duty starts after my husband has fed her early in the morning. It’s completely up to her, she is a big girl after all!

Of course I feel better when I know where she is, but keeping her inside would be selfish, she likes being outside so much.

Friendly Fill-Ins Week 151

I again participate in the Friendly Fill-Ins, hosted by Four-LeggedFurballs and 15andmeowing. So here we go:

1. The highlight of my week is the long walk my husband and me take with our dogs, a friend, her dog and a dog from the shelter every Saturday. It always makes me feel better, even if it rains.

2. Only four more days until I meet my father. We always enjoy these father-daughter times!

3. I believe I was born to live around animals. I always felt this way, even as a six year old girl. I even argued with my father about having a parakeet, and this was very hard for me. But my father felt how important this was for me, and he finally relented.

4. Age is a) relative, and b) a very exciting journey. I always thought life would become boring while getting older, but this hasn’t happened until now (I will turn 48 this year).

  1. I’ve noticed the change in my kattykins already, not snuggling with me first thing in the morning (or middle of the night when I let him in when I can’t sleep); if it’s not freezing cold, he prefers to suit himself and take a wander in the morning. I should give him some change and send him to get the paper!

I hope you have a lovely daddy-daughter day this week 🙂

  2. Your Jackie is the most purrfect, and cutest, meteorologist! And thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! I feel the same way as you with #3. As a toddler, I more than once escaped our yard with the sole purpose of breaking into the neighbor’s yard to cuddle their dog. Soon enough, my family adopted some kitties and pups, so I had my own to cuddle. Have a wonderful day!
