Sparks 6

Sparks 6

This quote really made me think. What do we compare our lifes to?

Often the answer is: “I heard X has this wonderful car, Y has such a well-paid job, and Z is so pretty.”

Often we don’t know these people very well and compare fragments of their lives to fragments of our lives. Maybe X is chronically ill, Y works long hours and Z doesn’t think she’s pretty.

My point is: Don’t waste your life with endlessly comparing it! Every life is unique, two lifes will never match. Let go of comparing, and safe your breath for living your own life the best you can. And then the people will say about you: “W always looks so happy 😄!”

I found the idea of sparks at McGuffy’s Reader.

Basically it’s all about making the world a better place by spreading positive thoughts. This is my contribution.

  1. Excellent advice here. I learned long ago to tend to my own garden and not be worried about someone else and their garden. It has served me well.

Have a fabulous day filled with wonderful Sparks. ♥

  2. I couldn’t agree with you more about comparison, Viola. We truly have no idea what is really going on in other people’s lives… things always look so much better from a distance. I have read that “comparison is the death of joy”, and I believe that. We were created to be unique, each with our own gifts, inner beauty, and challenges. The older I get the less I care about what others have or do or look like, I care about me and my friends and family and how we are doing. Things we can hear and see about others is such a tiny part of their story, and we probably wouldn’t trade lives if we could. Some do seem to have it harder, and for that reason I really like the quote you are sharing today. I believe that God has a special reason for people who must endure more in their lifetimes, and someday it will all make sense. But there is little point in feeling sorry for ourselves because we’ve gotten thru every day so far regardless, and I intend to keep doing so! ❤
